Glass doors do not ask for much. A little regular attention keeps them swinging smoothly for years, while neglect lets small issues turn into the kind of faults that need a proper repair. This is the routine we recommend.
It takes about fifteen minutes per door, a couple of times a year.

The Routine
- Clean the glass properly: Dust first with a dry cloth, then a proper glass clean. Grit left on the glass gets dragged across the surface every time you wipe.
- Check the hinges: Look for any play or wobble in the fittings. Tighten visible fixings gently. If a hinge keeps working loose, it needs professional attention.
- Test the swing: The door should move smoothly through its arc and close without slamming or bouncing. Stiffness or slamming means the pivot or closer needs adjustment.
- Inspect handles and locks: Wiggle the handles. If they move independently of the door, the fixings need tightening before they strip.
- Clear the threshold: Dust builds up where the door meets the floor and grinds into the bottom edge. Keep it clear.
What Maintenance Cannot Fix
Worn-out hinges, cracked patch fittings, and doors that have dropped beyond adjustment need repair, not maintenance. Our glass door maintenance in Dubai service includes the full routine plus adjustment of pivots, closers, and locks.
