Fly screens take a beating in Dubai. Between the summer heat, the fine dust that blows in with every shamal, and windows opened and slammed a dozen times a day, a screen that looked fine last year can be barely hanging on today.

When one fails, it is almost always one of three problems: torn mesh, a bent frame, or corners that have worked loose. The right fix depends on which one you have, so here is how to tell.

Damaged window fly screen with torn mesh being repaired in Dubai

Torn or Sagging Mesh

This is the most common failure and the simplest to fix. If the aluminium frame is straight and the corners hold firm, the frame is worth keeping. Our fly screen repairs in Dubai swap fresh mesh into your existing frames, reseated with new spline so the edges sit tight.

Bent Aluminium Frames

Frames bend when windows slam in the wind or when a screen gets leaned against a wall the wrong way. A slightly bent frame can often be straightened and re-squared. If the frame is kinked or cracked at the corners, a new frame built to the exact window size is the smarter move.

Loose or Broken Corners

Corner joints take the stress every time the screen is lifted out for cleaning. When corners crack, the whole screen racks out of square and gaps open along the edges. New corner inserts bring the frame back to square, and the mesh gets reseated at the same time.
