We see a lot of sliding glass doors. After years of callouts across Dubai, from Marina apartments to villas in the suburbs, the same problems come up again and again. Chances are your door has one of them.

Here are the faults we fix most often, and what each one takes to put right.

The Weekly Hit List

  • Door off its track: Usually caused by worn rollers letting the door drop, or a hard slam knocking it out. We reseat the panel, replace what wore out, and realign everything.
  • Lock will not engage: Nine times out of ten this is alignment, not the lock. A door that has dropped a few millimetres will not meet its keeper. Realignment fixes it.
  • Handles loose or broken: Handles take daily force and the fixings work loose over time. We refit or replace handles to match your door.
  • Draughts and dust around the edges: Worn brush seals and weather stripping let in dust and warm air. New seals restore the barrier.
  • Track damage: Dented or corroded tracks chew up rollers. We repair track sections or fit replacements.

When a Repair Beats a Replacement

Almost always, honestly. The glass panel and frame usually outlast the moving parts by years. Our sliding glass door repair in Dubai targets the worn components, which is why most of our jobs finish in one visit.
